This Financial Accountant role is a pivotal role and an integral part of our Global Finance team, dedicated to orchestrating and optimising the robust financial management strategies specifically tailored for FNZ APAC's business sphere.

Operating within the framework of a fast-growing company, this position calls for a highly skilled individual who is adept at handling diverse challenges with efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Drive the month end close process for FNZ APAC entities against the FNZ Group reporting timetable, including:

  • Posting month-end journals,

  • Issuing customer invoice and posting revenue recognition journals,

  • Reviewing the P&L for reasonableness and identifying material coding adjustments as required,

  • Ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed in line with Group Finance policy and IFRS

- Review the work of the Finance assistant and approve/post journals in the finance system, including payments, vendor invoice, bank reconciliation etc.

- Review payroll prepared by HR-payroll team and external service provider

- Ownership of the salary allocation process for the responsible entities

- Assist with statutory reporting for FNZ APAC and acting as key contact for external auditors

- Assist with management reporting and provide support to various business stakeholders

- Involvement in preparation and filing of tax returns, as well as lodgment of regulatory financial reports for the regulatory entity in Singapore

- Participation in various global finance projects, including intercompany reconciliation.

- Other tasks as assigned

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate?

- CA qualified or other equivalent qualifications.

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting / auditing role or similar.

- Previous experience in an Auditing or Business Advisory role within a CA firm or Financial / Management Accounting experience within a large corporate would be an advantage

- Strong technical accounting and reporting skills (IFRS an advantage).

- Strong MS Excel skills and experience using accounting systems (Dynamic 365 experience an advantage).

- The ability to think strategically and deal with complex challenges in a fluid environment.

- Strong relationship manager with the ability to influence at all levels.
